Another Fun Friday Vacation

ANOTHER FUN FRIDAY

HAPPY VACATION MR. PRESIDENT!

The Dow crashes 419 Points. Workers in Detroit and across America are screaming for jobs. The conclusion of the President’s Flatten America Mega Bus Tour and the beginning of his 10-day vacation is at hand. Here’s an inside report by Andrea Mitchell from aboard the mega bus Leadership.

Mitchell: “This bus is absolutely enormous! From the inside it seems like we are in a stadium not a motor vehicle! Mr. President, is it true that this vehicle has stealth technology more advanced than the Stealth Fighter Jets?”

Prez: “Yes, that’s correct Mitchell. This vehicle is not only invisible to radar, but when activated we can bend light around the bus to make it disappear; make it actually invisible.”

Mitchell: “That’s incredible! Why did you name it Leadership?

Prez: “My choice was The Invisible Bus, but when my staff found out about the disappearing feature they chose Leadership. I don’t get it but I suppose because there are two buses and this one is in front it makes sense.”

Mitchell: “Is it true that both buses, Leadership and The Magic Bus, were made in Canada at a cost of 1.1 million dollars each.”

Prez: “That information was confidential, when it was leaked we had to cancel our stop in Detroit. The American autoworkers were enraged. I saw Maxine Waters and some members of the Congressional Black Caucus waiting for me there. They all had paddles the size of a tennis rackets. They were gonna spank my ass.”

Mitchell: “You said you saw Maxine? I don’t’ understand. You canceled that stop.”

Prez: “Oh, we didn’t stop. Hell no! I flipped the invisibility switch on Leadership and we drove right outta there. The Magic Bus got its ass kicked before escaping. They can’t go invisible. They had to throw Biden out the door to distract the crowd.  Damn freaky shit!”

Mitchell: “Why did they pick Joe Biden to throw under the bus?”

Prez: “He’s already a member of the cracked head club so we felt Biden had less to lose.”

Mitchell: “Some say the tour is simply a political stunt to shore up the white vote in the Midwest. How do you expect this Flatten America Mega Bus Tour to help the job market?”

Prez: “Are you kidding Mitchell? Did you see all those safety and emergency vehicles trailing us; closing the roads?”

Mitchell: “I thought those were security vehicles.”

Prez: “Hell no. The massive weight of these armor-plated behemoths are literally pulverizing the concrete and blacktop roadways and buckling the bridges beneath us. Those are safety vehicles closing the highways behind us. We will generate thousands of jobs on infrastructure before we reach Martha’s Vineyard. Those are shovel ready jobs Mitchell! This Flatten America Tour is a grand success!”

Mitchell: Noticing the bus slowing: “Why are we pulling over already? We just stopped for gas an hour ago.”

Prez: “These are scheduled stops, Mitchell. These little truck stops don’t have enough fuel for these buses. We stocked fuel from the strategic oil reserves every 60 miles along our route to keep us running.”

Mitchell: “What about the carbon foot print?”

Prez: “What? Global Warming! You gotta be kidding Mitchell. Does anyone still believe that crap after those U.K. emails were exposed? The warmers just gave Gore a fabricated non-issue to keep him busy, poor guy; still thinks the election was stolen from him.”

Mitchell: “Sir, do you mind if I ride on the Magic Bus after this stop? It sounds like a party back there.”

Prez: “Enjoy yourself Mitchell, just beware that’s a rowdy crowd, even without Biden.”

THE MAGIC BUS

Andrea Mitchell disembarks Leadership and awaits the Magic Bus rolling to a stop. The door opens and a dense cloud of smoke billows skyward.

Mitchell: “Oh my God! FIRE! FIRE!” she screams as she waves her arms frantically, signaling the truck stop workers.

A man in a circus style outfit walks out of the cloud and asks, “What’s the matter little lady?”
Mitchell: “Your bus is on fire!”

Man: “I’m the driver. There’s no worry, it’s a controlled burn little lady. Cheech and Chong have a handle on it. You’re up tight; you need to fly with us aboard Magic Bus.  Out here is war, hate, crime, hunger, and anger. On Magic Bus we only have love and happiness. Out here you have despair and monotony. On the Magic Bus we have hope and change, baby. Get hip, why not join us? Hop aboard Magic Bus! Hey aren’t you Andrea Mitchell?”

Mitchell: “Yes, and I recognize you. Are you Bono?”

Bono: “The one and only. Welcome to the Magic Bus.”

Mitchell: “Is that the outfit from Sergeants Peppers Lonely Hearts Club?”

Bono: “This attire is from Across the Universe, the movie. We have been singing and playing the sound track. Those Beatles songs are way out man! Were grooving out all across America. Try some of this electric Kool-Aid. You’ll see what I mean. This is the same Kool-Aid recipe we sent to all the major media and the Universities right before the Presidential election.”

Mitchell: “Oh, I remember this stuff. We had a 55-gallon barrel over at MSNBC. We all got tingles up our thighs every time we saw Obama. He had a halo! By the time I crashed, Obama was president. Mmmm this is good!”

As the bus empties for the short stop, Mitchell begins to recognize the passengers.

Mitchell: “Wow! This is the first time in years that I have felt like the youngest in the crowd. Isn’t that Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn and Diana Oughton? My God, Hi Hillary! What the hell is Jane Fonda doing here?”

Bono: “This is the sixties baby and were fly in, fly in high again!”

The crowd of old people dressed in Woodstock era clothing poured from the Magic Bus a pair of men with neckties wrapped around their heads and carrying a deer carcass brushed past Mitchell.

Mitchell: “Bill Clinton, is that you?”

Clinton: “Hey Andrea, give us a hand. We hit this deer on Route 70 a few miles back. I recruited Rick Perry to come help me butcher it. We got a barbeque pit on the bus.”

Mitchell: “Why Rick Perry? He’s the enemy.”

Clinton: “He’s no enemy, he’s my wingman babe. Look at the hair on this guy! We are gonna score with some of these hippie chicks after the cookout. Hillary let me bring him aboard because we needed someone to field dress a deer. Couldn’t find a qualified Democrat so we took a vote between Rick and Sarah Pallin. Rick won because he has better hair. We’ll be partying all night long Andrea and I definitely will save some time for you babe!”

Howard Dean: “YEEEEEEEEHAAAAA!

R.W. Emerson: “ I find it a great and fatal difference whether I court the Muse, or the Muse courts me: That is the ugly disparity between age and youth.”

TPBPS!

Happy weekend

BUBBLE BOY SCHULTZ

SCHULTZ LIVING IN A BUBBLE

On 8/12/2011 Randy Schultz, Editor of the Editorial Page of the Palm Beach Post, posted an opinion piece entitled Who got things right while debt skyrocketed? We did.
Mr. Schultz attempts to make the argument that the Palm Beach Post cannot be blamed for the state of the nations finances. “Fiscal conservatives, that’s us.” Says Mr. Schultz. He then identifies a few examples when the Post opposed legislation that harmed the economy and increased the national debt. Mr. Schultz examines events going back as far as 1982. He is able to find a hand full of budget and legislative bills passed by Congress and signed by Presidents causing instability in markets and adding to the national debt. What he fails to mention is that since it’s inception, the Palm Beach Post has endorsed and helped elect an overwhelming majority of big government tax and spend liberal politicians at both the local and national levels. Almost all of the Palm Beach Posts endorsements favor Democrats with the occasional R.H.I.N.O. tossed into the mix. These are the politicians who have expanded government spending to unimaginable and unsustainable levels. Thank you Palm Beach Post.
The disdain for true fiscally conservative leaders like Allen West, Marco Rubio, Michele Bachman (love that Newsweek Cover), Herman Cain (more coverage of his gospel singing than his extraordinary resume) is apparent. (Does anyone notice that these are all conservative women and minorities?) Contrast this with the Post’s adulation for whining big government progressive politicians like Debra Wah Wah Wasserman-Schultz, Ron Klein and Obama.
While the media gave Sarah Pallin a public colonoscopy, Barack Obama was sheltered from critical analysis; we are still trying to figure out who Obama is! Just today I saw a clip of Chris Matthews asking Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post a question. To paraphrase Matthews; Eugene, don’t you think the N.Y. Times and the Washington Post will spend every last nickel they have to send out young reporters to go after Rick Perry? Don’t’ you think that this guy better pray he has nothing in his past. Don’t you think he had better be completely clean? Not surprisingly Eugene Robinson’s answer was, Absolutely. Yes!
These people pretend to be journalist, reporting news and events, informing the public. In reality they are nothing more than tools; a mouthpiece for the left. They all live in the same bubble. Look at the staff of the Palm Beach Post. Could any of these people be considered politically conservative? Is there any media source that could possibly be considered conservative outside of talk radio or one cable channel, Fox News? The deck is stacked overwhelmingly against conservative thought and yet the left whines about damage done by the terrorist, hostage taking tea party crowd.
Grow up and come out of your bubble Mr. Schultz. You and the Palm Beach Post have in the past and continue today to influence our elections with your biased support of big spending Democrats. You praise the bailouts and defend the failed stimulus even as we speed toward bankruptcy and a country of welfare recipients. You remain silent as the clowns and army of czars in the Obama Administration destroy the private sector. You scoff at even the most meager of budget cuts such as the elimination of funding for the Public Broadcasting Corporation and foreign aid programs. You claim that such cuts would not make a difference. I say in a crisis, every penny makes a difference.
A fan of my blog sent me the following report, which was written by Ryan Grim of The Huffington Post (thank you fan). It details one of the Republican proposals for spending cuts. Whether you like these cuts or not, can you please at least ask, “Where’s the damn Democrat Plan!”  Can you demand that Obama exit Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. Will you ask, where the hell did Code Pink go?
By the way Mr. Schultz, some insignificant little cuts are listed below. They add up to over 2.5 trillion dollars over ten years. Yes entitlements and defense must come next but at least these cuts should be comparatively easy

I place blame for our financial crises and credit downgrade squarely at the feet of the Democrat Party and it’s tools in the mainstream media who endorse big government leftist politicians year after year.
Come out of your bubble Mr. Schultz, question yourself; question the left as well as the right.

That’s why the Palm Beach Post Sucks!

You Might be a Democrat

FUN FRIDAY

YOU MIGHT BE A DEMOCRAT

If you think that the definition of free market enterprise is when you and your friends organize a flash mob to loot the local 7/11 store, you might be a Democrat.

If you think America is comprised of 57 states, you are a Democrat!

When asked what churches do you attend you respond. “I prefer KFC, you might be a Democrat.

If your stretch limo accidentally backs over crushing your smart car, you might be a Democrat.

If you fly aboard your private Gulf stream II to the Global Warming Conference, you are a Democrat.

If after attending the Green Peace conference concerning the alarmingly high concentration of mercury being found in marine life, you return home to your twenty thousand square foot mansion and switch on 1,000 mercury filled curly cue light bulbs, you might be a Democrat.

If any written or spoken conservative thought sounds like propaganda to you, you might be a Democrat.

If you can watch Bill Maher or Jon Stewart for more than ten minutes without dozing off or being grossed out, your either a seventh grader or you might be a Democrat.

When you can no longer stack your unpaid credit card bills on the floor because they have hit the ceiling and a light bulb goes off in your head causing you to exclaim, “So that’s the debt ceiling!” You might be a Democrat.

A Democrat, a Republican and an Independent

At a recent college graduation ceremony in Chicago, three female grads were asked about their future plans.

Rebecca the Republican: “I’m going to use my engineering degree to integrate green energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro and clean fossil fuels, into the national power grids. I will provide tens of thousands of people with good paying jobs, and yes I’m not afraid to admit, make a ton of money.”

Ida the Independent: “ Ha, I hope to earn a ton of money also. I plan on helping cure worldwide hunger with my degree in the Agra-sciences, employ tens of thousands of people with good paying jobs and eradicate world hunger”.

Reporter: “Wow, these are very ambitious goals. Now, how about you Miss?”

Donna the Democrat: “Well I plan on going into public service. I will help unionize all those two’s workers. Use the EPA to regulate the hell out of them and make sure nothing they do causes harm to even one snail.
I will push Ida to convert millions of tons of that food into bio-fuel and I damn well wont let Rebecca drill any fossil fuel in this country. In the process I will force hundreds of thousands of jobs overseas, thus saving our environment and in the process I will make two tons of money!”

Donna

Twenty years later, Donna the community organizer arrives home in a very affluent neighborhood and parks her BMW. She traverses the Mexican tile pathway and enters the front door. Inside she flips a switch illuminating the mercury filled light bulbs, which were made in the Philippines.
Stopping at the wet bar, she mixes a Russian vodka martini and turns on a large flat screen LG TV made in Korea. Turning up the volume of the surround sound system, which was made in Japan, she tunes into the BBC network as she removes her Italian made jacket. Hearing that the riots in London have subsided, she turns on her Toshiba computer and logs into Virgin Airways web site to make reservations for her upcoming trip abroad.
In the kitchen she opens the door to the GE refrigerator which was made in Mexico, pushes aside a six pack of Heineken beer and removes a bunch of Chilean grapes which she places on a platter beside French cheese and imported middle eastern flat breads.
The phone rings and she answers the call speaking into the handset, which was made in Taiwan. After she finishes plotting with the Chicago union boss whose workers are on strike, she hangs up then grabs her Japanese camera and snaps a picture of her French Poodle sitting on the Persian rug.
A report concerning the bad economy and the high unemployment rate catches her attention. The reporter mentions that American businesses are sitting on capital, not hiring, fearful of Obama care and government regulation and the uncertainty in the tax code.
“Screw those selfish corporate pigs!” she screams at the screen as the little poodle cowers behind the sofa.

Rebecca

That same afternoon, two counties over in a more modest part of the state, Rebecca the Republican pauses in front of the framed cover of Popular Science hanging on the wall in her small suburban home. The June 1999 issue shows her smiling face, ten years younger. The photo on the cover is captioned; Young Entrepreneur May Have Solution to America’s Energy Crises. She sadly looks away and then picks up the phone to call her lawyer.

“Hi Phil, do we have any lawsuits against us from the EPA, Sierra Club, Green Peace, PETA, the Warmers or any of those other groups still active?”

“No Becky, the slate is finally clean.”

“Oh thank God Phil, I really need to sell this house before I get foreclosed on.”

IDA

The sun is just rising in Somalia as Ida and two volunteers begin to dig a water well with hand shovels. Her once acclaimed company Food For Famine, which supplied ten tons of food monthly to third world countries, now only a fond memory. The FDA closed her down and fined her out of existence after a shipment to Africa was improperly handled by local government officials and caused an illness to six people.

“We need to hit water before sunset, Muhammad. The new seedlings need to be irrigated tonight.”

“We can do it, Miss.”

Ogden Nash: “I do not like to get the news because there has never been an era when so many things were going so right for so many of the wrong persons.”

I agree.

Oh! Before I forget; The Palm Beach Post Still Sucks!

RANDY SCHULTZ A ONE TRICK PONY

RANDY SCHULTZ A ONE TRICK PONY

8/9/2011 Randy Schultz, editor of the Palm Beach Post, published an editorial entitled Give us a AAA government. His main point seemed to be that Fridays downgrade was as much a downgrade of the U.S. government as it was of America’s enormous debt. I agree.
I also agree with his comment “ Meanwhile, Washington remains focused on dodging blame. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., referred to the “tea party downgrade” citing the intransigence of some House Republicans”.
Am I the only one who noticed that more Democrats (95) voted against the raising of the debt ceiling than Republicans (66)? Regardless the reason, aren’t all these Democrats intransigent, terrorist allies of the Republican tea baggers?
So Kerry blames the Republicans, who have only had control of one branch of government for seven months, and not the Democrats who had a two-year monopoly including a 60-vote super Senate majority. It was during those two years that the Democrats forced open the throats of the American people and rammed Obama care down our unwilling gullets, in the process killing any hope of private business adding jobs and thus resulting in the stifling of the American economy. Then came the appointment of a legion of unelected czars and the attacks on the Chamber of Commerce and the demands and regulations aimed at the business community. Geniuses like Schultz no doubt wonder, Where are the jobs? Evidence of this is his conclusion that the economy is a needless casualty of the gridlock. The gridlock is due to people with functioning brain cells attempting to stop the insanity of a mindless horde of anti-capitalist, progressive elites in Washington who are cheered on by a corrupt mass media.
Schultz continues by asking, “Lets review the past eight months”. Oh, how convenient; that’s when the republicans gained a small foothold of power for the first time in two years! Later he states “Washington is a creation of the electorate, which for the most part tells the parties to dig in and never yield”.
Duh! Mr. Schultz, that’s why our form of government is called constitutional republic, we send citizens to represent us in Congress. Congress better damn well do what the people they represent want or they will have short service. The freshman Republicans were sent to Washington in order to derail the Democrat, Obama bankruptcy train.
A consistent common thread in Mr. Schultz’s editorials always seems to be the same conclusion, blame and disdain of the American people. He says, “That downgrade of our political system includes the voters.”
Sadly, this time I must agree but I believe that the reason American voters in recent history have made poor choices comes from complacency, yes, but mostly from an onslaught of distorted and biased misinformation espoused by an ill willed propaganda media machine.
After the 2008 election, I recall two of Americas most prominent news anchors pondering Obama. To paraphrase, they asked the question; what do we really know about this new young president? Who is he really? They asked us! Wasn’t that their jobs!
America knew what the Republican vice presidential candidate wrote in seventh grade English class. An army of fair and balanced journalists (lol) descended like flies upon a rotting carcass and attempted to portray her as a clown. Sarah Pallin was torn to shreds by these truth seeking (lol) professional (lol) journalists, as they concentrated on learning everything about her and her family including the children, yet they knew nothing of the President elect other than he wrote an autobiography and voted present a hundred times as a senator! Or did they really know much more that they did not want us ignorant voters to learn. I recall people being accused of dirty tricks for mentioning candidate Obama’s middle name. God forbid you question his ties to Rev. Wright, Ayers or any number of radicals that he himself admitted to seeking out in his college years.
Hopefully our country, as we know it, will survive four years of the Obama, elite media and leftist Democrat juggernaut as it continues to mangle our economy.
So in the mean time I anticipate more shallow, disingenuous and sophomoric analysis to appear on the pages of the Palm Beach Post. The one trick pony, Mr. Schultz, will undoubtedly come to the same conclusion concerning any problem facing America; the cause is the stupidity of the American people.

That’s why the Palm Beach Post sucks!

FUNNY FRIDAY

FUNNY FRIDAY

A DEMOCRAT A REPUBLICAN and an INDEPENDENT

A Democrat trial lawyer, a Republican C.E.O., and an Independent small business owner are walking out of the polling place with the Republican leading the way. As they turn a corner, they are confronted by a thug with a nightstick.

            “Give me your wallets sucka’s!”

“Oh please don’t hurt me,” pleads the Democrat. “Take his wallet. It’s his fault for leading us down this road. “ He whines pointing to the Republican as he cowers in fear.

“Shut up sucka.” the thug raises the stick threatening to strike the Democrat.

Sick of being vilified and victimized, the Republican snaps. He lunges at the perpetrator.

“Give me that stick you bastard!” he grabs the nightstick and a fight ensues. Over powered the Republican begins to take a beating.

The Independent jumps in to assist the bloodied Republican. Together they subdue the thug and take him to the ground disarmed. The Independent holds the Thug pinning him to the ground as the Republican calls the police with his cell phone.

The Democrat, realizing the danger has passed, bends over the thug, chest puffed out, composure regained, and he sticks a business card into the thugs back pocket.

“Here’s my number. If you decide to sue these guys, give me a call.”

HERE IS HOW I WOULD EXPECT THE PALM BEACH POST TO REPORT THIS INCIDENT

Today rioting occurred at a local polling place when a misguided Republican led a group of voters into a confrontation on the streets outside the voting place. Violent, terrorist, Tea Party independents joined the melee until police were called in to quell the disturbance. One arrest was made. The Democrats and the Holder Justice Department vowed to investigate the incident and to bring forth the full force of the law against any Republican or Tea Bagger found to have engaged in any voter intimidation activity.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. PRESIDENT!

The Dow crashes 512 points in celebration of the great ones grand gala fiftieth birthday celebration. Here’s an inside report by Adrian Mitchell from the floor of the grand ballroom.

Mitchell: “Sir you look ecstatic tonight. Doesn’t the financial situation and the fall of the Dow worry you.”

President: “Quite the opposite, my father and I never dreamed that I would be able to become president and destroy the American economy before the age of fifty! I feel fantastic!”

Mitchell: “Understood, you and your army of czars have punished and regulated the life blood out of the capitalist pigs in corporate America, destroyed the job market, escalated the wars, spent every last penny and then just printed more money; but do you feel bad about the worldwide collapse?

President: “Mitchell, are you just stupid or something?” “That’s icing on my birthday cake!” “This global reorder is beyond our wildest dreams! Kudos to my good friends, Bill Ayers, George Soros, Cass Sundstien, Barney Frank, Nancy, Harry, Fidel, Hugo…” Mitchell interrupts.

Mitchell: “Sorry sir, but I only have two minutes here.”

President: “Proceed Mitchell.”

Mitchell: “Sir, my ticket cost over $35,000 and the picture with you an additional $10,000. The crowd here consists of very wealth celebrities, C.E.O.’s, politicians and journalists. Are there any real Americans here?”

Prez: “Who’s more American than Bono and Sean Penn.”?

Mitchell: “Rumor has it that the fall of the Dow was caused by all your Wall Street cronies, the ones left on wall street, the ones who did not join your administration, were forced to cash in stocks in order to raise the enormous funds required for your gala celebration and bolster your political slush fund.”

Prez: “Well that’s simply how the system works.”

Mitchell: “But why would you be supported by these wealthy elites when you constantly vilify them and threaten tax increases?”

Prez: “Mitchell, obviously you have not opened your complimentary gift bag. When you do, you will find a special Timothy Geitner edition of Turbo Tax.”
Chuckling and obviously amused the president continues.
“None of these guests need worry about taxes, Mitchell.”

Mitchell: “These people are influential but you need the masses. You need to buy votes, lots of votes.”

Prez: “That’s why we now have nearly fifty percent of the little people paying no payroll tax what so ever! Genius, right Mitchell?”

Mitchell: “Is that what you elites call the majority of Americans, little people?”

Prez: “Yes, that and useful idiots, but they are the most important Americans. Without them we can not be reelected and we might be forced to resort to plan B.”

Mitchell: “What’s plan B?”

Prez: “I could tell you but then I would have to kill you!” The president is overcome by hysterical laughter.

Mitchell: “LOL” she waits for the president to catch his breath. “ “Are you concerned about the tea party?”

Prez: “Of course, that’s why our minions in the media will slander and destroy them. We consider them as runaways who most be rounded up and put back on the plantation. A small problem actually; if we can keep the mass majority misinformed and clueless. Our media comrades are masters of the art, so I’m not overly concerned.” “Hey! Look Barney Frank is going to sing “Happy Birthday Mister President! I gotta go! Enjoy yourself Mitchell, and don’t forget your gift bag.”

If You Can Read This, You're To Close!

If You Can Read This, You’re Too Close!

In my last post (Friday, 7/29/211) I predicted that when Moody’s downgrades our AAA credit rating the mainstream media would blame Bush, the Republicans and the tea party. I didn’t have to wait that long.

Sunday, 7/31/2011, Randy Schultz Editor of the Editorial page of the Palm Beach Post published a lengthy editorial entitled “How we really went from surplus to debt in 10 years”. Mr. Schultz makes a timid attempt to appear unbiased by suggesting that both major parties are to blame but by the end of his column it is clear that he holds Bush, the Republicans and the tea party responsible. Schultz, near the end of his editorial summarizes, “For all the blame Washington gets, though, most Americans supported both tax cuts”.
Imagine that! Hard working people trying to keep their hard earned dollars out of the grubby hands of wasteful politicians!
Schultz continues, “Most Americans supported both wars. Most Americans  - especially tea party members – didn’t start yelling fire until the building was in flames.”
So according to Mr. Schultz, it’s Bush, the Republicans and especially the tea party that squandered the surplus. I knew Mr. Schultz would write this piece before he did. These lefties are so damn predictable I don’t even need to read their opinions; they are like a herd of lemmings controlled by one central brain located in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Schultz, take a closer look. The rank and file tea partiers have been here forever. In Reality, the birth of the tea party organization sprang from an incident on the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. After the housing bubble had popped (see my previous blog) and the government began all the bailouts with our tax money, CNBC analyst Rick Santelli went into a tirade on national TV. Irate, he passionately asked the question, why should some responsible Americans pay the mortgages of their irresponsible neighbors? He said something to the effect that we should have a tea party style tax rebellion against such government abuse of our tax money. Thus Americans who had long been complaining about a meddling, micro managing, over spending and out of control government, even before the building was in flames, came together and organized as a movement; the tea party movement.
I’m no fan of George W. Bush as you can see in my profile. I’m a political conservative and registered independent, but I strive to be open and fair-minded. The most glaring and disingenuous aspect of Mr. Schultz’s opinion piece is what he conveniently omits.
Mr. Schultz criticizes Bush for waging two unpaid for wars, ignoring the fact that Obama has continued these policies for over 2 ½ years. In fact the Obama Administration has grossly escalated the war in Afghanistan and added another costly, unpaid for, intervention into Libya.
Mr. Schultz besmirches Bush’s harmful tax cuts of 2001 and fails to mention that Obama has continued them. Now that we are approaching three years of these Obama policies should we not now be calling them the Obama tax cut extensions and the Obama wars?
After muddling through a nebulous account of the Bush budgets of 2008-2009, Mr. Schultz does at least mention that Obama and the Democrats contributed a whopping 787 billion stimulus layered on top of the 700 billion bipartisan financial bailout, amounting to a staggering 1.487 trillion dollars of unpaid for expenditures in less than two years!
These numbers are mindboggling and yet Mr. Schultz pokes fun at the phrase; “Washington does not have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem” adding that the phrase has all the depth of a bumper sticker.
Washington has a huge spending addiction. No amount of money will ever be enough to quell the appetite of the addicts. They will always want more as demonstrated by Obama himself when in the midst of this budget mess he actually stated that he would rather be devising new government programs or evaluating the up coming NFL season.
The problem is that Washington is controlled by leftwing progressives, elites apparently devoid of commonsense and the ability to reason. Even the most vile corrupt politicians are admired, encouraged and protected from scrutiny by an army of like-minded, media robots marching in lock step while mesmerized by the Obama Hope and Change bumper sticker.

After reading Mr. Schultz’s most recent editorial I’m going to increase by 10 vacuum points the Palm Beach Post’s Suckometer rating for a total of 2,010 VP’s.

How’s that Hope and Change go’ in for ya America?

That’s why the Palm Beach Post Sucks!

Response to Randy Schultz Editorial

A RESPONSE TO SCHULTZ: ON GREECE AND AMERICA

7/15 2011; Randy Schultz, Editor of the Editorial Page, Palm Beach Post wrote an editorial entitled “Greece made it’s own problems. So did we”.
The piece starts with Mr. Schultz recounting his recent trip to Greece and the feedback of Athenians he encountered. A cabbie, after stating that in 2004, the year of the Olympics, Athens was prosperous and exciting, is quoted; “and now (in 2011) we are poor”. Mr. Schultz describes problems caused by massive government spending on entitlements and problems caused by the infeasible demands of powerful unions. Facing insolvency, the Greek Parliament approved drastic spending cuts and taxes, leading to rioting and graffiti in the streets. Does this remind anyone of the response to Governor Walkers austerity budget and the subsequent trashing of the capital in Wisconsin?
Anyhow, so far I have no objections, but then Mr. Schultz writes to the effect that the American Congress is facing a comparatively easy decision about national finances. Say What! America is on the same glide path as Greece albeit trailing on the time line. On this trajectory, our future is Greece and the implications are global.
I agree that our Government needs to act responsibly as did Greece, namely cut spending, reform the tax code and down size the federal government; be less socialistic. But the real sticking point is the line “they got into their financial predicament themselves, just as Americans got America into our financial predicament”.
America is a geographic area with sovereign boarders, originally established by the guidelines of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, populated by a diverse group of people who pledge allegiance to these principles, the American people. These “Americans” did not get us into our financial predicament. They are busy earning a living, paying taxes and raising families. The fault of the American people lies in being complacent, electing spineless politicians who promise something for nothing to buy votes and increase power. The peoples fault lies in believing the propaganda of the leftist media accepting it as factual accounts of current affairs and accurate news reports. Americans to often do not question, research or study the history of events in a quest to find truth, thus they are easily manipulated and controlled by the elite class.
A small segment, this elite class among the American people relish this power. Some are funded by foreign sources like George Soros. These elitists are motivated by a vision of a global world order and anti-Americanism. They are corrupt, money and power crazed people and organizations. Their ability to manipulate and misinform the masses is aided by major media like the New York Times. This media turns a blind eye to corruption and malfeasance if the offender is of the same political persuasion as the elites. They will even go as far as fabricating lies, as Dan Rather did to Bush in an attempt to throw a presidential election. Their leftist allies support such unethical individuals. Dan Rather to this day still appears on propaganda net works such as MSNBC. Members of this elite class of corrupt Americans caused the melt down. If Mr. Schultz is curious he should spend more time researching and reading legislation passed by Congress and less time touring abroad collecting antidotal accounts of foreigners.
Most agree that what sparked the firestorm leading to the financial melt down was what the mass media likes to call the housing bubble. I agree and I submit that the primary, most recent arsonists are Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.
It would be impossible for me to detail all the events leading to the housing bubble, I have a stack of documents that make the health care bill look like a pamphlet, (Congressional records and legislation easily found on the internet), but to summerize; On 10/12/1976 under Jimmy Carter, the CRA or the Community Reinvestment Act section 801 of title VIII, was passed into federal law. The bill was devised to encourage banks and savings associations to grant loans to borrowers in low-income neighborhoods across America. I believe this was noble legislation, the key word being encourage loans. These laws did not cause any harm to financial institutions until 1992 under the Clinton Administration when the Federal Housing Enterprise Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to devote a set percentage of lending to the CRA. In effect, the government began forcing banks to issue subprime loans. Thus it wasn’t deregulation, quite the opposite it was government regulators forcing banks to issue bad loans at the peril of the banks own business. The government’s enforcement strategy was to play the class warfare and racial cards, a favorite game of the left.  They threatened the banks with discrimination and redlining violations.
During Congressional hearings in 1995 William Niskanen said these regulations were being used for political favoritism and micromanagement by regulators and would be costly to the economy. (Hello Senators Frank and Dodd)
Years later, the Bush administration auditors submitted 11 warnings to Freddie and Fannie concerned that so many unsecured and defaulting loans could have dire consequences on the financial institutions. Meanwhile Senators Barney Frank and Dodd pushed harder for more subprime loans. Dodd got a large sweetheart loan from Angelo Mozilla and Country Wide Bank, which were a leader in bad loans and the destruction of the industry. The federal governments accusations of redlining and discrimination forced the banks to acquiesce and issue loans to the noncredit worthy.
So Mr. Schultz we Americans didn’t bring on the financial crises, you and the elite left did. Why not now support what the House has already passed, Cut Cap and Balance. At this point even if a budget and deficit increase is passed, the damage that the Obama administration has done in the past two and a half years by squandering the nations treasures on failed domestic policies, new wars, stifling regulations of unelected czars, in effect, tying the hands of the free market combined with the monetizing of the national debt by the Federal Reserve printing money at a mindboggling pace, a down grade of Americas credit rating is unavoidable.
So when this happens, go ahead, blame the Republicans, blame Bush, blame the Tea Party, and blame anyone other than your leftist elite cronies. Then turn on the Bill Maher or Jon Stewart Show, go to bed wake up and watch a little MSNBC, then go to work and write some more brilliant editorials so we Americans may be more well informed and not repeat the failings of our past.
That is why The Palm Beach Post sucks.

The rest of us will support the Cut Cap and Balance bill passed by the House. And we will blame the Democrats who control our government if it fails.
